    The Curry County Sheriff's Office arrested another alleged Internet child predator on Wednesday. This one, officials said, came from Midland, Texas, in hopes of having sex with a supposed 12-year-old girl in Clovis. Investigators seem to encounter these creeps about once a month and Undersheriff Wesley Waller tells us they are usually convicted in connection with their evil intentions.     The Clovis City Commission met Thursday at the North Annex of the Clovis-Carver Public Library. During the meeting: - An existing .25 percent gross receipts tax for street repairs was allocated. The money was freed up in part due to the gross receipts tax created Jan. 1 solely for the Eastern New Mexico Rural Water System.
