Ticket feature: Cultural Arts series kicks off with the Bronx Wanderers

It’s time once again for Clovis Community College and the Citizens Bank of Clovis’ Cultural Arts Series of 2011-2012.

This year there is a variety of acts performing for the series. Tickets can be purchased at the Clovis Community Colleges cashier windows, the Curry County Chamber of Commerce or at the Cannon Air Force Base Information, Tickets and Travel Office or by calling 769-4035.

The lineup this season: The Bronx Wanderers on Saturday; 4TROOPS on Oct. 22; Sons of the Pioneers on Nov. 14; Carpe Diem String Quartet on Nov. 29; Cathryn McGill and Catalyst, Dec. 13; Rhythmic Circus presents “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now!” on Jan. 28; Vienna Boys Choir on Feb. 14; Cathie Ryan Trio and McPeake on Feb. 29; the Queen of Bingo on March 21; The Santa Fe Opera Spring Tour TBA, Squirm Burpee Circus on April 17; and Mariachi Mystery Tour on May 5.

This year will mark the Cultural Arts Series’ 11th season.

The first set of the Cultural Arts Series is scheduled Saturday with The Bronx Wanderers. The Bronx Wanderers are a group billed as having superlative vocals and amazing musicianship, as well as a dynamic enthusiasm and a genuine love for the music they perform. They recreate the 50s and 60s era of music.
