PITTSBURG, Kan. – Eastern New Mexico senior Timothy Frederick finished in the top eight in two sprints on Saturday in the NCAA Division II national indoor track meet, hosted by Pittsburg State.

Frederick, from La Brea, Trinidad and Tobago, gave the Greyhounds eight team points by finishing fourth in the 400 at 47.66 seconds and sixth in the 200 at 21.46. He earned first-team All-American honors and gave ENMU 22nd place out of 68 schools with athletes competing in the meet.

Last year, he placed 12th in the national indoor meet in the 200 with a time of 21.54, earning second-team All-American honors.

“It’s really a joyous feeling and I’m extremely grateful,” Frederick said. “It’s an amazing feeling to see that my hard work is paying off and I’m achieving my goals.”
