“Roden Smith Pharmacy and Plains Regional Medical Center Pharmacy are offering the shots as long as they have the vaccine in stock,” J. D. Jones said. Jones is Community Impact associate with the United Way of Eastern New Mexico.
Jones said if people who want the shots don’t have insurance they may go to the New Mexico Department of Health offices in Clovis and Portales.
Jones added the office in Clovis is at 1216 Cameo St. In Portales, it’s at 1513 W. Fir St.
“As far as I know if the Clovis and Portales Walmarts and the Walgreens in Clovis have the vaccines in stock they can administer them,” Jones said.
A recorded message at Walgreens said the vaccines are administered at the store by appointment.
Walmart pharmacies offer the vaccine on a walk-in basis until 5 p.m. daily.
Cost for the shot depends on the customer’s insurance plan according to the Walmart website.
