Portales working on minor water repairs

PORTALES — City workers are repairing two water lines this morning, but neither is expected to result in widespread outages.

Some brief outages are possible.

Portales City Clerk Joan Martinez-Terry said part of Third Street will be closed briefly to repair one line, while workers are also working on a fire hydrant line at U.S. 70 and Avenue R.

A city news release read, “Please watch for equipment and men working in the area of the repair work.”
