ENMU briefs: Two holiday concerts on tap

The Eastern New Mexico University Children’s Choir concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. today in Buchanan Hall of the Music Building.

Admission is free.

It will feature third- through eighth-graders.

Their repertoire will include “Button Up Your Overcoat,” “Shout for Joy,” “The Dream Keeper,” “I Whistle a Happy Tune,” “ Little Star” and “Winter Fantasy.”

• The ENMU holiday concert is set for 7 p.m. Thursday in the Campus Union Building Ballroom.

It will be followed by a reception hosted by the ENMU Friends of Music.

The concert will feature ensembles from the music department — including ENMU bands, ENMU choirs, steel band, jazz band, brass ensemble, clarinet choir and ENMU’s Children’s Choir.

• Steve Estock, director of Housing and Residence Life, has been named the interim vice president for Student Affairs until Jan. 5.

Jeffrey Long will take over as vice president for Student Affairs effective Jan. 5.

• The ENMU Board of Regents are scheduled to meet at noon Dec. 11 in the multipurpose room of the Campus Union Building at the ENMU-Roswell Campus.
