Police blotter —

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

Around 10 a.m. April 17 an officer responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Ash Street for a report of a vehicle with a bullet hole in it.

A man said the prior morning he went to the area of Fourth and Wallace streets looking for his son at a party.

He said he parked his car and went inside, hearing four to five gunshots while in the residence, and everyone left the party including himself.

He said the next day he discovered a bullet hole in his car.

The officer found the bullet where it had landed in the trunk after passing through the quarter panel.

A witness from the party said there had been a fight outside and a male pulled a gun from his pants and fired three shots at a car, but when shown photos of the man’s car, said it was a different vehicle that had been shot at.

About noon April 18 an officer responded to an alley in the 1600 block of North Prince Street for a report of a battery victim.

The officer found paramedics talking to a man who appeared to be intoxicated, noting he was bleeding from a healed wound on his nose.

The officer attempted to speak to the man, but noted he was incoherent and decided to take him to the jail for protective custody.

A check of the man’s identity revealed he was out on bond for other charges. A judge revoked his bond.

Around noon April 18 an officer responded to the 500 block of Upsilon for a report of a burglary at an athletic field.

City workers told the officer someone broke a hole through the cinderblock wall of the concession stand and stole candy, sodas and merchandise.

The officer noted the damage to the building was estimated around $2,000 and the items stolen around $800.

The officer was unable to find any witnesses to the burglary.

About 10 p.m. April 21 an officer responded to a business in the 2000 block of Prince Street for a report of juveniles on the roof.

The officer went to the rear of the building an found a ladder propped against it where workers had been doing repairs.

When the officer saw a juvenile running from the area, he stopped him, noting he had tar on his shoes.

Another officer located two male teens on the roof and all three admitted they had gone up the ladder.

The teens were given citations for trespassing and released to their parents.
