Clovis high students awarded

Clovis High School seniors Tara Dewitt and Kyler Brewer-Hill have been presented the “Wendy’s High School Heisman Award” for Clovis.

They were awarded a certificate, a Wendy’s patch and a $10 Wendy’s gift card, according to a news release from Clovis Municipal Schools.

According to the release, this award is presented to two seniors from each New Mexico high school for their participation and excellence in athletics and academics.

Of those students nominated locally, ten top state finalists are chosen. Dewitt was selected as one of the finalists, and was awarded an additional certificate and medal for her achievements, according to the release.
