Professor elected to national group

Dustin Seifert, director of bands in the Eastern New Mexico University Department of Music, was elected to the American Bandmasters Association when the organization held its national convention last week in Indianapolis, Ind.

According to an ENMU news release, as a part of the nomination process, Seifert submitted 70 minutes of live recordings of the ENMU wind symphony under his direction, which were juried by the entire ABA membership.

“I am excited to be a member of this esteemed professional association,” Seifert said. “I am so proud of our spectacular students and exemplary faculty.”
