ENMU wins college blood drive competition

ENMU was the winner of the first college blood drive competition held on Nov. 10 involving ENMU, Western New Mexico University and the New Mexico Military Institute. Officials said 69 ENMU donors contributed 83 liters of blood.

Submissions for annual ENMU art show due Friday

Submissions are due Friday for ENMU’s annual art show and are open to all public, private and homeschooled students from kindergarten to ENMU senior. Entry is free. The exhibition will be open to the public on Feb. 28 at the Runnels Gallery in the Golden Student Success Center (GSSC) on ENMU’s Portales campus. A public artists’ reception will be held on March 25.

ENMU attempting to correct ‘decades of underfunding’

ENMU has begun a campaign to correct what it calls decades of underfunding from state sources. “Right now, ENMU receives a smaller percentage of the higher education appropriation compared to the percent of student credit hours it produces,” Student Life Director Reydecel Cross wrote in a letter to ENMU alumni. “ENMU also receives the lowest appropriation per full-time equivalency student of all four-year universities in New Mexico.”
