Bella Vista names principal for 2021-22 year

CLOVIS — The Arts Academy at Bella Vista has named Phillip Lemke its principal for the 2021-22 school year.

Lemke, currently assistant principal at Gattis Middle School, will assume his new position July 19. He will replace Jennifer Longley, who will transfer within the district.

According to a district release, Lemke started with the district I 1999 as a physical education teacher at Zia Elementary School before transferring to Gattis later that year. He has also taught at the Clovis High School Freshman Academy and Yucca Middle School, and coached in four different sports across the district.

He served as principal of Clovis Christian School’s middle and high school levels in 2015, before returning to the district in 2017. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wayland Baptist University.
