CHS grad named president/CEO

BANGOR, Maine — Ryan Ratledge, a 1992 Clovis High School graduate, has been named president and chief executive officer of Central Main and Quebec Railway.

Ratledge succeeds John Giles, who has assumed duties as executive chairman, according to a company news release.

Ratledge began his career with BNSF Railway before joining Rail America in 2007 and then CMQ in 2014.

“He is a highly capable leader with a wealth of rail industry experience and will continue to propel the organization forward,” Giles said in the news release.

Plateau seeks seniors to apply

The Education Foundation of Plateau is accepting applications for college scholarships for graduating 2017 seniors.

Since 1993, the foundation has awarded nearly $990,000 to area students.

Applicants must be a legal dependent of an active cooperative member with landline service, have at least a 2.5 GPA and use the award on a regionally accredited vocational school, college or university.

Applications are available at local school guidance counseling offices, Plateau retail stores or online at http://www.plateautel.com/company/scholarships. Applications must be postmarked no later than March 6 and go to the Education Foundation Committee c/o Plateau, PO Box 1947, 1711 N. Prince, Clovis NM 88102-1947.
