Blanca’s moving to Main Street

Blanca’s Bridal and Floral Shop is moving into the building formerly occupied by one of Clovis’ oldest family-owned businesses, McDaniel’s Home Furnishings at 1020 Main Street.

Blanca’s Bridal and Floral Shop owner Blanca Rios said she purchased the building in May and expects to open at her new location around mid-August.

Rios said her floral and special event business will stay the same, but it will be expanded into different departments.

“I’m seeing it as a mini mall for bridal, floral and special occasions,” Rios said.

She noted she still hasn’t finalized her ideas for the building’s second floor, which she predicted will take another six months to plan.

Rios has been at 501 Commerce Way for two and a half years, but she said her business spans 21 years.

McDaniel’s Home Furnishings officially closed its doors in March after more than 50 years at its Main Street location.
