Clovis man named to MLK Commission

A Clovis man received an appointment Friday to the state Martin Luther King Jr. Commission, according to a release from Gov. Susana Martinez.

Donald Sawyer Jr., a marriage and family mediator, was one of 30 appointments announced.

A veterans affairs benefits advisor, Sawyer is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University. His wife, Sandra Taylor-Sawyer, represents District 2 on the Clovis city commission.
