May building permits

A look at city permits filed in May, according to city of Clovis records:

• 7 — New residential permits filed in May.

• 1,807 — Average square footage for a new residence, with 1,413 as the low and 2,188 as the high.

• 14 — Permits filed for residential remodeling. It is the top month in 2015, with a total of 44 filed for 2015.

• $1,268 — Most expensive permit fee, charged for a commercial remodel performed by Preferred Painters.

• $20 — Lowest cost for a permit with an actual price, filed for a curb cut on the 800 block of South Prince. A $23.50 filing fee was also charged for a low FM radio on the 1500 block of Llano Estacado Boulevard.

• 2 — Permits filed for manufactured home placement. So far, three have been filed in 2015, with a $100 fee for one in February and $50 each for the two in May.

• 9 — Reroof permits filed for May, with seven different applicants. It’s the second most in a month so far in 2015, trailing last month’s 13.

• 43 — Total permits for May.

• 191 — Total permits for 2015.

• $10,022.50 — Permit fees for May.

• $53,673.50 — Permit fees for 2015.
