Preschool Ends

This week is the last week of school for the Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday pre-school classes. Preschool teacher, Patty Mohon, and her assistants, Elaine Schneider and Stacy Smith, have special activities planned for their last days of this school year.

Spring Program

Robin Simpson, fine arts teacher, has been working with the elementary students to prepare them for their 2014 Spring Program. The elementary students will present the show at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, in the school auditorium. The performance is free, and the community is invited to enjoy the event.

Class of 2014

Dora High seniors will wind up their year next week, as their final exams begin on May 12. Each senior must turn in their Next Step Plan, their completed end-of-year check-off sheet, and be clear in all their accounts by May 15. Graduation is at 3 p.m., May 25 in the Guy Luscombe Gymnasium.

Food Drive

Dora student Sarah Walker is conducting a food drive through this Thursday to boost donations to the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico. Classes are competing to see who can bring the most canned goods by the deadline.

End of Course Testing

Dora students will be taking end of course exams in math, reading, science, and social studies on Thursday, May 12-13. It is important that students be in attendance to take these tests, required by the New Mexico Public Education Department.

State Track

Track Coach Pablo Pena will be taking qualifying students from the Dora Track Team to Albuquerque to compete at the New Mexico State Track Meet on Thursday.
