This year’s KENW-TV Auction will feature online selling and three nights of “live” on-air bidding, according to a KENW press release.
The event is slated for April 21-30. The station is soliciting merchandise, gift certificates, cash donations and vacations to be sold during the event from business to give them an opportunity to participate.
All proceeds from the auction are used to purchase and broadcast the station’s programming, according to Sheryl Borden, KENW-TV’s director of marketing.
“The auction provides the best advertising a business can get for its money,” said Borden in the press release.
Donors can be businesses or individuals, and the minimum contribution is $50.
The deadline to participate is April 1.
Another way for a business to be spotlighted as supporting public television and the local community is through auction sponsorships.
Sponsorships begin at $200, and auction sponsors are promoted through numerous audio and video spots, as well as featured on the website year-round.
