Club Notes - Feb. 3

The Altrusa International, Inc. Club of Portales met Jan. 28, with President Nellie Dyer along with 17 members and five guests, Amie Griffith, Aida Smith, Amberlynn Mauldin, Mary Bell Cota and Patrick Kircher, present.

Cathy Rankin led the opening ceremonies. Dannah Brown gave the Altrusa Accent, and Jennifer Hardin drew for the Queen of Hearts.

Sheryl Borden and Dannah Brown conducted a reinstatement ceremony for Lori Ribble and Joyce Cone.

Gaynelle Thomas talked of the upcoming Char-i-Tea, scheduled for March 2.

Linda Leaming announced the next board meetings on Feb.

4 and 11. Communications Committee will be in charge of the program. Members to bring small teddy bears to the meeting. A

Reading is Fun party was scheduled 2:30 p.m. at Floyd School, members distributed books to third graders.

Following the meeting, Patrick Kircher, NM Extension Agricultural Agent, talked about the 21st annual Agricultural Expo is Feb. 19-20.
