My Turn - McDonald's playground can be chaotic

If you want to witness a laughable situation, put three adults inside a play place chasing after three children with one of those adults being over 6 feet tall and built like a linebacker.

Tuesday night, my friends, their children and I trekked to McD's after discovering the bowling alley in Clovis was closed for New Year's, so we opted for the play place and ice cream.

With two 6-year-olds and an 8-year-old running and crawling through the play place, a very large friend of mine decided to take it upon himself to chase after them. Thus, chaos ensued and it was the most fun I've had in awhile.

After two weeks of a lot of cartoons, puzzles, board games, bowling and wrestling, I have to say good-bye to my new 6-year-old buddy today as he returns home to Oklahoma. After such an exciting two weeks, I may not know what to do with myself after work anymore. I'm going to miss that little rascal.

With that being said, parents wanting entertaining and interactive indoor activities for their children in the winter that will keep their minds fresh, I highly recommend children's word searches, puzzles and card games such as Memory, Go Fish and Uno.
