Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities

My turn - July 20

Last weekend turned out to be a busy one for me with back-to-back lunches, dinners and other social engagements.

It was mostly filled with personal fun for me as I had a dinner night with my sister and her family, rediscovered an old friend and went to a house party for some games. Maybe this weekend I should just sleep for my body's sake.

Then again, only one more week to enjoy my sister's family before they move to Washington state, so rest may only be an option after next weekend.

For fun this weekend, I'm hoping to enjoy a Sunday barbecue following performing in a July murder mystery dinner Saturday night at Vines. The story for this dinner performance is set up much like the one based off the Clue board game, so I expect it to be fun and entertaining for all involved whether performer or audience member.

Also, don't forget that from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, the Community Service Center in Portales is holding its annual barbecue dinner in which residents can enjoy a plate of barbecue with a lot fixings, such as potato salad, for $7 per plate.
