Wednesday morning briefing: Cops, kids and alligators

Good morning and welcome to the Wednesday briefing.

Cops and kids

Pre-registration is under way for the annual Cops and Kids Basketball games.

The event is May 19 at The Rock and features basketball teams of kids ages 6 to 16 against teams of Clovis Police officers.

Participants are limited to the first 150 to pre-register. It can be completed online at http://heymix.com or in person at Clovis Police Department.

Alligators in the hall

Three baby alligators from the Clovis Zoo are being raised in the Natural History Museum in Roosevelt Hall at Eastern New Mexico University.

The Natural History Museum is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday and is free and open to the public.

Kitchen tip
