SBA testing ongoing
Dora students will finish up the remaining portions of the New Mexico Standards Based Assessment on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Dora FFA students place
Last week, Dora FFA took sweepstakes at the Eastern New Mexico judging contest in Portales.
Awards were the following:
- Dairy Foods team, second place;
- Livestock team, first place (Koby Cone first high individual; Kaly Cone second high individual)
- Pasture and Range team, first place (Gowan Hays first high individual; Kyler King second high individual; Taylor McAlister third high individual; Aubrey Butler fourth high individual);
- Crops team, first place (Taylor McAlister first high individual; Layni Breshears second high individual; Sky Cathey third high individual);
- Land, first place (Koby Cone second high individual);
- FBM team, second place (Gowan Hays first high individual). This Saturday, Dora FFA teams and sponsor, Kit Pettigrew, will hit the road at 5 a.m. to compete in Moriarty.
Sports schedule
- Thursday — Two varsity baseball games at Elida, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- Saturday — Varsity track meet at Logan.
