Clovis native Patrick Lyons has again been designated as chairman for the Public Regulation Commission.
The commission, created in 1996, regulates utilities, telecommunications, motor carriers and insurance industries to ensure fair and reasonable rates and reasonable services to the public.
Lyons was elected to the District 2 seat in 2010. A 1972 graduate of Clovis High School, Lyons is a former state legislator and commissioner of public lands.
