My turn: Hunting class registration available online

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is making it a little easier for youngsters to register for hunter education classes. Registration for statewide classes now can be made online using the student’s unique customer identification number.

Customers need identification numbers to register for all hunting education classes. The same number can also be used to purchase hunting, fishing or trapping licenses online. The numbers are free and can be acquired at www.wildlife.state.nm.us and click on the hunter education button. There’s also a list of available classes on the website. Students without Internet access can get customer identification numbers and register for classes at the department offices in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Raton, Roswell, and Las Cruces during business hours.
