A phone call from a citizen led to the capture Tuesday of a man Clovis police have been seeking for about six months.
Gabriel Chavez was taken into custody without incident just before 5 p.m. in the 700 block of Gidding Street, said Chief Steve Sanders.
“Somebody witnessed him going down the street and made a phone call to us,” Sanders said.
Court records show Chavez has six pending criminal cases in local courts and charges against him that include armed robbery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and distribution of marijuana.
