Meetings watch: Commission to vote on dumping fee waiver

The Clovis city commission is scheduled to meet at 5:15 p.m. today at the north annex of the Clovis-Carver Public Library.
Agenda items include:
• A request for approval to issue and sell $7 million of City of Clovis New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax Revenue bonds to improve sanitary sewers and treatment plants.
• A request for approval to apply for a grant through the New Mexico State Forestry Department with the help of Shannon Atencio, timber management officer at Las Vegas District Office.
• A request for approval to waive dumping fees at the Clovis Regional Landfill for Curry County residents from noon Sept. 24 until noon Sept. 27 for Trek for Trash.
