Heads up lesser prairie chicken fans.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service in New Mexico has received $300,000 for its lesser prairie chicken habitat enhancement efforts.

Lesser prairie chickens live in Roosevelt County and the money will be used to encourage landowners to manage habit for the birds.

Happy 125th

Weed, N.M. is celebrating its 125th Anniversary and Reunion Saturday at the Weed Community Center (Old Weed School).

There’s a parade at 11 a.m., music from noon until 4
