Cannon Air Force Base is expecting more growth according to a press release from Sen. Jeff Bingaman.
Bingaman, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said New Mexico’s three Air Force Bases are expected to grow in fiscal year 2011.
According to the Air Force’s Fiscal Year 2011 Force Structure Announcement unveiled Tuesday, Cannon is expected to grow by 365 personnel, receive three MC-130J aircraft and an additional seven MQ-9 Reapers.
Bingaman said the expansions signals strong support from the Pentagon.
