Two arrested in stabbing

Two men were arrested Monday night following a stabbing at a Clovis convenience store.

Charles Jordan Jr., 19, and Abrey Fallis, 18, of Clovis were arrested by Clovis police. According to a release from the Clovis Police Department, witnesses at the Stripes convenience store on South Prince Street and Mabry Drive said they broke up a physical altercation between the two and Jacob Thurman, 22, of Clovis.

According to the release, witnesses said Jordan returned to the parking lot after the original fight, pushed through witnesses and stabbed Thurman in the lower abdomen.

The pair were apprehended after a short vehicle pursuit to the 1200 block of Walnut Street.

Jordan was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and resisting, evading, eluding arrest and other traffic charges.

Fallis was charged with resisting, evading, eluding arrest.

Both are in the Curry County Adult Detention Center — Jordan on a combined bond of $17,600, Fallis on a $1,000 bond with a probation hold.
