Welcome to Freedom New Mexico’s Wednesday morning briefing:
Dance the night away
Just two days left if you want to be at the Mayor’s Ball Saturday evening.
Tickets are only on sale through close of business Thursday at the Curry County/Clovis Chamber of Commerce.
You’ll have to dig deep. They’re $75 a pop.
But think of all the homeless dogs and cats who’ll thank you.
Actually, the Clovis Animal Welfare League is just one of three charities benefiting from the big dance.
Mayor Gayla Brumfield’s also splitting proceeds with United Way and Clovis MainStreet.
A different kind of dance
The Grant Nitzel family hits the ground running.
Note the photo in this morning’s Clovis News Journal.
Here’s the rest of the story:
The whole family, mom, dad and nine kids ranging from age 14 to 3 months are prepping for the annual Turkey Trot, 8-mile run Thanksgiving Day in Dallas.
Nitzel says the entire family competes in the race every year.
We’ll keep you updated on how the Nitzel 11 does.
