Lighthouse seeking donations for holiday events

The Lighthouse Mission is seeking help with its Citywide Thanksgiving Day Banquet and Children’s Christmas Celebration, Executive Director Richard Gomez said in a letter.

For the banquet, volunteers can donate food or serve the meal on Thanksgiving Day. They should donate or notify the Lighthouse of their intent to serve before Nov. 20.

For the Christmas Celebration, the Lighthouse is seeking new toys valued at $10 to $15, apples, oranges, peanuts and individually wrapped candy, for children age 2-15.

Gomez wrote that the Lighthouse’s financial support has been down and the group needs all donations.
