Grady victim identified

The Curry County Sheriff's Office has identified a woman they initially thought was the victim of a fatal crash, who apparently died of natural causes Tuesday after pulling her car off the road near Grady.

Police were dispatched to Cemetery Road near Grady for a crash just before 5 p.m.

Upon arriving on scene, police discovered there had been no crash and found that Patricia Phillips, 70, of Logan, had died in her vehicle.

Tuesday state police said they believed Phillips died of natural causes.

Undersheriff Wesley Waller said his office is awaiting the results of an autopsy before cause of death is known.
