Commission to hear request for signs

The Roosevelt County Commission is set to hear a request from Karen McCaslin to install signs on South Roosevelt Road AG.

Her requests are part of the commission meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the County Courthouse.

McCaslin wants speed limit, cattle and children playing signs installed.

The agenda also includes an agreement with Lea County to house female juvenile inmates and adult inmates there if a situation prevented someone from being jailed in Roosevelt County.

Also, the commission will consider a state grant for the sheriff’s office to pay overtime for extra patrols and buy a video camera for a car.
