School board to vote on policy

The Portales Municipal Schools Board of Education is scheduled to vote on revisions to its policy and hear information about special education and federal programs.

The board meets 6 p.m. Monday in the district administration building.

Revised policies on board member and staff conflict of interest, truancy, graduation exercises and freedom of information are among items up for consideration.

The agenda also includes votes on awarding a bid for cafeteria food and supplies, and a cooperative agreement between the schools and the New Mexico Department of Transportation for parking lot and bus lane improvements at Valencia Elementary School.
