Judge rules against former Melrose police chief

District Judge Drew Tatum has granted a request by the Village of Melrose for summary judgment in a complaint filed by former Police Chief Michael Trammell against the village and Mayor Lance Pyle.

In effect, Trammell’s complaint of wrongful termination was tossed out by Tatum, at least in respect to Melrose.
