Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Around midnight June 27 an officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of Calhoun Street in reference to an assault. A male juvenile told the officer he had been jumped by two suspects who knocked him down and took his wallet containing $30. The victim described the suspects but the officers were unable to find them in the area.

Around 9:30 p.m. June 29, an officer responded to a home in the 400 block of Sheldon Street for a burglary. The resident told officers she had found a screen on a back window removed and her puppy, a Teacup Chihuahua, was missing from the home. Officers were unable to determine any suspect information.

About 11 p.m. June 30, an officer was called to a home in the 3000 block of Weston Street after receiving an anonymous call of car windows being broken out. Finding a car with broken windows in a driveway, the officer knocked on the door, which was answered by a woman who seemed to be in distress.
The officer noted reddened wounds on her shoulder and a strangulation mark on her neck. He noted her eyes were red and it seemed she had been crying.
The woman denied needing assistance and asked the officer to leave. A warrant is being sought for battery on a household member.

At 1 a.m. July 1, an officer was called to the 700 block of Prince Street for a public affray in progress. When they arrived they found a woman lying on the ground. Bystanders told the officers she was slipping in and out of consciousness.
The woman told police she was assaulted by another female bar patron in the parking lot. She said the woman repeatedly hit her head against the concrete, punched her and pulled her hair.
Based on witness statements, an arrest warrant was issued for aggravated battery.
