Crubaugh Anniversary

Melvin and LaVon Crubaugh of Clovis will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today.

The celebration will be hosted by their seven children and spouses; Susan and John Heiermann, Peggy and Tom Smith, Jane and Joel Finch, Linda and Jeff Crubaugh, Susan and David Crubaugh, Tim Crubaugh and Jennifer and John Harger.

The couple was married Nov. 27, 1955, in Lancaster, Wis.

They have seven children, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Melvin became a USDA meat inspector in 1953 in Dubuque, Iowa. In June, 1968 the couple moved to Clovis where he was employed at the Swift Packing Co.

He retired on Oct. 1, 1999.
