Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Police were dispatched Aug. 8 to a department store in the 3700 block of North Prince Street response to a report that someone had broken into the coin box of a ride in the game room. An investigation of the equipment indicated that the front of the coin box ha been pried off. The complainant reported approximately $25 in quarters had been removed. Officers noted four surveillance cameras mounted in the ceiling and requested copies of the video. The case is considered active.

Police were dispatched to a storage rental facility in the 1000 block of Manana on Aug. 8 in response to a report someone had cut the lock off of a storage unit and stolen personal property valued at $1,885. Officers compiled a list of missing items.

Police responded to a call Saturday reporting a domestic disturbance in the 1400 block of Norris. Upon arrival police discovered a homeless man drinking a beer and holding a small dog. When approached, the subject threw the dog down. Officers ordered the subject to the patrol car where he was placed under arrest for drinking in public.
The dog was located and returned to its owner.

Police responded to a bomb threat shortly after midnight Monday at a hotel in the 2700 block on East Mabry Drive The desk clerk informed police that a call had come in reporting a bomb in room 103 and the caller sounded like a Hispanic male in his 20s.
The responding officer contacted the person staying in room 103 and determined that the party was unaware of anything out of the norm.
The case remains active.
