Feb. 6 Elida School News

The Elida Elementary School St.Valentine’s Day parties will be held Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. Students will be exchanging valentines and enjoying the candy and party snacks contributed by parents for the occasion.

Students enter essay contest

The fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade English classes are employing the writing and proofreading skills they have learned in their classes by entering an essay contest sponsored by Creative Communication. The essay topic is “What is Important to Me?”

New faces at school

There are two new students at Elida Elementary School. They are Christian Flores,who is a kindergartner, and Juan Flores, a first grader.

Basketball

The Elida Tigers are scheduled to play basketball with the Floyd Broncos on Tuesday. The games will be held at Elida’s gymnasium at 4:30 p.m.
