Mr. Frank James Dosher Jr., 78, of Clovis, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, in Clovis.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1926, in Tipton, Okla., to Frank James Dosher Sr. and Thelma Rachael Young Dosher. He married Joyce Edwards on April 12, 1947, in Oklahoma Lane, Texas. He farmed and ranched all his life, and family members said he enjoyed working with horses and cattle, and loved hunting and fishing. He was in the Army with the 1st Signal Troop, 1st Cavalry Division during World War II and he was a Mason and Past Master of Farwell Lodge No. 977. Family members said he was a mentor to his children and grandchildren and will be remembered by his friends and neighbors as a kind and gentle man.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Preston D., Harold D. and Kenneth John Dosher; and a sister, Koleta Lucente.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Laura Beth Dosher of Clovis; two sons, Michael Frank Dosher of Clovis, and Gary Lee Dosher (and wife, Janet) of Albuquerque; five sisters, Joyce McGuire (Jimmy) of Lubbock, Darla Stanley (Guy) of Atwater, Calif., Shirley Patteson (Pat) of Fairport, N.Y., Carmelita Holland of Roswell, and Marilyn Sandi (Jimmy) of Santa Ana, Calif.; a brother, Lanny Dosher (Sheila) of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Dr. Herbert Bergstrom and the Rev. Jimmy McGuire will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Terrace in Farwell.

Pallbearers are his grandsons, Jared Dosher, Brandon, Joshua and Matthew Lunsford; nephew, Jamie Dosher; and good friend, Roy Hartzog.

Honorary pallbearers are all his friends and neighbors.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, at Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
