Floyd quilters

The Floyd Quilters recently were hostesses to the Dora High School Family and Consumer Science class. Two teachers and 18 students watched as the quilters showed them techniques in hand quilting, tacking, and examples of different blocks and quilts. The Quilters also gave the group three large boxes of fabric scraps to make their own quilts. The students plan to make lap quilts out of the scraps and donate the finished products to the Shelter for Domestic Violence or a nursing home.
