Bernice W. Anderson, 86, of Ringwood, Okla., died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Okla.
She was born on March 30, 1918, in Cleo Springs, Okla., to Milton D. and Lucy “Vail” Mosher.
She married Grey Allyn Anderson on Jan. 20, 1934. In January of 1942 the family settled on the farm northwest of Ringwood. Bernice resided in Ringwood until her death. She worked for many years as a cook at Ringwood Public Schools and then worked for the state for 16 years and retired from the Helena State School in 1982.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Robert “Bob” Anderson; a son-in-law, Joe Rowley; and two grandsons, Monte Anderson and H.O. Scott.
Survivors include four children, Mary Lou Rowley of Portales, Gary Anderson (and wife, Janice), Don Anderson (Carrol), all of Ringwood, Okla., and Kathy Johnson (Larry) of Enid; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Anderson Cooley (J.C.) of Ringwood, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. (CDT) until 8 p.m. Friday at Lanman Funeral Home Inc. in Helena, Okla., and from 9 a.m. (CDT) until 1:30 a.m. Saturday Faith Center Fellowship in Meno, Okla.
Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. (CDT) Saturday at Faith Center Fellowship in Meno, Okla. The Rev. Cody Anderson will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery north of Enid.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Center Fellowship through the funeral home.
