Greenwalt injured in rollover

LUBBOCK — A Texas Tech basketball player remained hospitalized Monday with injuries she received in a weekend traffic accident in West Texas.

Senior Cisti Greenwalt, a 6-foot-5-inch center for the Lady Raiders, suffered bruises to both lungs when the vehicle she was traveling in rolled over Sunday night near Anton, about 25 miles northwest of Lubbock.

School officials said the New Mexico native, who was treated for skin cancer this summer, was expected to make a full recovery.

Greenwalt averaged 7.9 points and 5.7 rebounds in 26 games before a fractured right ankle ended her season in mid-February.

Barring complications, doctors expected her to return to workouts within the next four weeks.

Greenwalt could not be reached for comment.
