F.C. Villanueva

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Villanueva.

Florian C. Villanueva, 83, of Villanueva died Sunday, March 7, 2004.

He was born on April 29, 1920, in Villanueva to Manuel and Rebecca Chavez Villanueva.

He married Maria Petrita Sena on Aug. 16, 1942, in Villanueva. He was a World War II army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Ramon Villanueva-Montoya, Pablo, Cirpiano, Alfonso and Manuel Villanueva Jr.; a daughter, Juanita Villanueva; a granddaughter, Annabele Jaramillo; a great-grandson, Michael Villanueva; three sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law.

Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Margaret Jaramillo (and husband, Joe), Alice Aragon (Raymond), Lucille Quintana (David) and Dolores Acosta (Alonzo), all of Roswell, Elizabeth Sena (Lou) of Albuquerque and Lorella Rivera (Mark) of Ribera; four sons, Leroy (Leora), Rudy (Eva) and Piedad Villanueva, all of Villanueva and James Villanueva (Olympia) of Ribera; 29 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Julia Lewis of Las Vegas, N.M., and Tillie Silva of Salt Lake City; four brothers, Predencio Villanueva (Linda) of Anton Chico, Leandro (Theresa) and Robert Villanueva, all of Albuquerque, and Carlos Villanueva of Villanueva; three sisters-in-law, Rita Montoya and Mela Villanueva, both of Portales, and Sabelia Villanueva of Anton Chico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Villanueva.

The Rev. Francis Malley will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Villanueva Cemetery.
