Student profiles: Jenna DeWitt

Jenna DeWitt is the daughter of Calvin and Diane DeWitt and is in the ninth grade at Yucca Junior High School.

What is your theme song? My theme song is “Shine” by Jaci Velasquez.

What is your favorite TV show? My favorite TV show is “7th Heaven” on the WB.

Who is your favorite entertainer? My favorite entertainer is a Christian singer, Rebecca St. James, because she is a positive role model for teen girls and I met her last year in Albuquerque.

What is so great about your favorite sport? The best thing about my favorite sport (Tennis) is the players. Everyone tries their best in the match, but after it’s over, we are all still friends.

Do you have a favorite joke? I love jokes, especially puns, because I love making people laugh.

Offices held: 9th grade Honor Society historian, Debate Captain, Journalism newspaper editor, eighth grade Choir vice president.

School activities: Honor Society, Debate, Chorale, Journalism, CHS Junior Varsity tennis team.

Church/community activities: First United Methodist Church Youth Group, church handbell choir, delivering Meals on Wheels.

Hobbies: Piano, reading, tennis, traveling.

Future plans: I would like to attend college and earn a masters degree, possibly in the journalism field.
