Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

A Clovis business owner came to the police department about 2 p.m. on Dec. 18 to report a company-owned white Ford F-250 pickup truck had been stolen overnight from the home of an employee on the 1300 block of West 14th Street.

The employee said the truck keys had been left in the cab but not in the ignition.

About 10 p.m. on Dec. 18, police responded to the 200 block of Herb Street where an elderly man was seen talking to himself.

Upon arrival, police found the man crawling into the window of an abandoned house where neighbors said he had been living for several days. Police took him into protective custody.

A 20-year-old Clovis man came to the police department about 1 p.m. on Dec. 19 reporting his bank had alerted him to possible fraudulent use of his account. After being alerted by the bank, he discovered his wallet, debit card, and driver’s license were missing and two checks cashed by the bank had not been written by him.

The man told police he had already closed the account.
