Someone broke the passenger window of a 1979 white Chevy El Camino pickup between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday and stole the truck’s stereo.

A Clovis man shopping at a local store from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday came out of the store and found that the left side of the windshield on his red 1992 Ford pickup had been shattered.

The windshield appeared to have been struck at least three times with a large object.

A Clovis resident called police about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to report that a 7-year-old child got too close to a brown Chow dog chained up at the 1200 block of Mora and was bitten. The child may have been squirting the dog with a water pistol.

Responding about 8:30 p.m. Thursday to a domestic incident at the 500 block of Hinkle, Clovis police found that a chain link gate had been badly damaged when a boyfriend left in his girlfriend’s pickup truck.

The girlfriend said she did not want to press charges, but did want the pickup back. Police advised that she needed to obtain a domestic violence protection order.
