Police seek help solving robberies

Clovis police are asking the community for help in locating men involved in three armed robberies in Clovis over the past week.

The first robbery took place about 10 p.m. on June 14 at the Allsup’s store on the corner of Grand and Prince. According to police reports, two Hispanic males, both described by witnesses as being in their 20s, about 5 foot 5 inches tall, and weighing 140 to 160 pounds, entered the store wearing bandanas covering their faces and noses. One of men pointed a silver handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the register. After receiving about $40 in mixed bills, the two fled on foot.

Two more robberies took place Thursday evening.

About 10 p.m., two Hispanic males, one armed with a pistol, demanded money from a victim at the McDonald’s located at Mabry and Schepps. The victim gave them his wallet and they fled on foot. Around 11 p.m., two Clovis women entering Kelly’s Bar and Grill were approached by two Hispanic males, one of whom pointed a handgun at them and demanded their purses. One of the purses became entangled on a victim’s arm and she was dragged to the ground as the men fled the area.

According to police, no one was seriously injured in any of the robberies.
