A magnitude-5.4 earthquake rattled West Texas on Friday, officials said — exactly one month after an earthquake of the same magnitude shook the region, sending tremors through Mexico. The earthquake, which hit about 5:35 p.m. CST, was reported 12 miles north-northwest of Midland, according to the National Weather Service. Breeanna Jent The Gazette, Syndicated content|Updated Dec 16, 2022

PUEBLO, Colo. -- The Pueblo City Council on Monday night narrowly voted to indefinitely table a controversial proposed ordinance that could have banned abortion within city limits. Council President Heather Graham made the motion to table, saying because states have the authority to regulate abortion it was a state matter and not a municipal one. "I would suggest if you want to ban abortion, take it up with the state legislators. Or, quite frankly, you move out of Colorado because the City Council is not the arena to be... Full story

Brad Townsend The Dallas Morning News, Syndicated content|Updated Dec 16, 2022

DALLAS - In recent years, Mark Cuban's vision for a new arena has included a 20-story Madison Square Garden-like structure with window views of Dallas and fans arriving in autonomous cars. "My goal, and we'd partner with Las Vegas Sands, is when we build a new arena it'll be in the middle of a resort and casino," Cuban told The Dallas...

  • Faith: Christmas traditions have done a lot of changing

    Curtis Shelburne, Religion columnist|Updated Dec 13, 2022

I’ve been enjoying reading Stephen Nissenbaum’s fine book “The Battle for Christmas.” Most Americans tend naturally to think that the Christmas traditions we share have been relatively unchanged for a very, very long time. Not so.
