  • Lady Cats fall to Hobbs in four

    Staff report The Clovis High volleyball team fell to Hobbs Thursday, losing in four sets 25-16, 27-25, 21-25, 25-21. After the Lady Eagles (9-1) came rushing out of the gates taking an early 4-0 lead, the Lady WIldcats (3-5) managed to hang around, but could never quite get back in to the set. Eventually Hobbs pulled away, taking the set by nine. Flipping the script, the second set was controlled by Clovis early as it capitalized on several Hobbs errors and made very few of its own.
